WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A BALLOON FLIGHT OVER THE KEMPEN?
The entire experience begins with careful preparation before we take to the skies. Our pilot, Thomas Spildooren, a seasoned hot air balloonist, will be there to answer your questions and guide you through every step of the journey. Contact Thomas here!
Your hot air balloon adventure over the Kempen, located in the northeastern part of the province of Antwerp, kicks off with the inflation of the balloon. While the balloon is being set up, you’ll receive a short but essential briefing to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight.
Then, we take off for approximately one hour, gently floating above the scenic Kempen landscape — a vast natural region filled with forests, heathland, ponds, meadows, and picturesque villages. Once we land, a refreshing drink awaits you and you’ll also be invited to take part in a traditional champagne baptism.
This unique ballooning experience lasts around 3 to 4 hours in total, ending with a return to your car parked at the launch site.
